Gennaro Porcelli

Gennaro Porcelli, one of the spearheads of the blues scene made in Italy. Guitarist of the band that accompanies Edoardo Bennato, he alternates his activities with the well-known Neapolitan singer-songwriter with a series of other initiatives for which he totally sinks his hands into the blues, the music that forged him.

So he treads the stage of the B.B. King’s in New York together with Jon Paris (Johnny Winter’s legendary bass player) and Steve Holley (the drummer of Paul MacCartney’s Wings); as well as that of the Bitter End, the longest running and most prestigious live music club in the Big Apple and the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center – Stage on Herr – alongside Mark Epstein and Michael Noll, Jason Ricci’s drummer and, worthy of note, is his recent live performance with Texan guitarist Buddy Whittington, historic member of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and with the legendary KEB MO at the Verona Theatre
